Selfish

Today I learned that the world is a very selfish place.  People are selfish, it is human nature.  I have been hurt by many people and I have hurt many people too. 

 As much as it goes against my nature I must give selflessly no matter how people treat me, that’s right I said it, SELFLESSLY!  I should not expect anything in return.  I mean even if I did expect them to treat me with a little dignity it is not going to fulfill me.  You can’t get from them what you can only get from Jesus.  Their apology or them treating you fairly, is not going to give you purpose in life and fulfill your every need like Jesus will.  Yes, it is nice to have and helps a little but no one can tend to your emotional wound like Jesus.  Their words will never heal it, only His.

Especially if your family and friends don’t have Jesus , we should be the ones offering life and purpose into their lives.  We shouldn’t expect anything from them, they should be expecting more from us, WE are called to go out into the nations and preach.  What you are expecting from them is not worth what you have to give.  So give them what you have selflessly, because what you have is soooooo much better than the best of what this world can offer.
