Depend

What if everything we depended on on a daily basis crumbled from beneath us?  Like easy access to water from our pipes?  What if there was no more food at the grocery stores?  What if all electronic devices had stopped working from some crazy virus?

Like we depend on things to meet our daily needs, we also depend on people.  We depend on each other on a daily basis. We depend on our government to preserve our rights and keep the country strong.  We depend on AAA to come to our rescue when your tire busts.  We depend on our friends and family to be there for us when we need them.  We depend on people for many things!  

But the fact of the matter is people disappoint!  The government isn’t always going to make you happy. Neither is AAA and family and friends. People hurt each other, we all make mistakes.  We try to get them to satisfy what only God can.  So stop trying to get something from them they don’t have.  Find yourself in God and you will be satisfied. You will find happiness with people, but you will find joy in the Father that no one can deprive you of.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
