2 Emmys, 6 Grammys, 30 Billboard Awards, and 22 AMAs and a total of 415 career awards as of 2010.  No doubt Whitney Houston is an incredibly influential person in our society. 

I think we can all agree that she went through some difficult patches, and I am sure everyone has their own opinion on this.  But lets lay that aside right now.  No matter who you are, we all go through rough patches, no matter what it is, it is difficult to endure.  Poverty nor prestige doesn't excuse life from happening to us.  I believe this is something Whitney Houston understood in her album "I Look to You".  We can all say what we want about others situations, but the fact of the matter is no one gets us like God, not even that psychologist you pay by the hour gets you like the One who made you. Not even your pastor gets you like the one who knew you since you were formed in your mother’s womb. 

This life is hard but be strong, and persevere and fight the good fight, one day we will see Him face to face. Oh what a day that will be!
