Christmas

Its that time of year again.  Christmas lights everywhere, Christmas trees, presents, Santa, Jesus, and on and on the list goes.  It is so easy to get caught up shopping and preparing Christmas dinner that we forget what its all about. Don’t get me wrong, I love this time of year, it is my all time favorite!:) But it is about God’s greatest gift given do us. (I know it sounds cliché, but bare with me a few moments). How is Jesus the greatest given? Well, here are few reasons why.

He is a father to the fatherless, comforter to the brokenhearted, joy to the unfulfilled, the answer to those who are lost, and sooooo much more. God gave us His son so that we could have eternal life, ETERNAL people! That is how much He loves us, He loved us so much that He sent His only son! (John 3:16) So this Christmas instead of getting caught up in getting that new Gucci bag or new Iphone 4S, lets try and give a little, I mean thats what we are celebrating, right? God’s greatest gift GIVEN to us, so lets give a little this season to that homeless man on the side of road or a to an orphanage in need this season.
