Loving God and loving others. Sounds pretty simple, but what does loving others mean to you? what does loving God mean to you? In our modern western culture it is so easy to get so caught up in “me”. I know I am guilty of it. Jesus tells us to feed the hungry and cloth the naked selflessly. This is love.
It is crazy to think that there are incredibly wealthy people and people dying from simple preventable things on the same planet. We can all do something to help end some of the injustice in this world, like buying that homeless guy near the 5 freeway some lunch or asking a co worker or fellow classmate why they look so down. Being their for people, going and meeting their need shows the true love of Jesus. We aren’t called to be comfortable as Christians, if anything it is uncomfortable. We aren’t called to live like the world but we are to be different and set apart, and I think we all know this isn’t very comfortable living in today’s world. Our love shouldn’t be just talk but action. Our life should reflect the love of Jesus. Love like He loves you.
