Today my uncle and aunt agreed to my little cousins long awaited request to get a hamster. He was so overjoyed when he heard the news over the phone, he was jumping up and down and yelling “I AM GETTING A HAMSTER!!!” over and over again. “Lets go now! Can we go now pleaseeeee?? Lets go, lets go, lets go!!!” Uh oh was mine and my aunts response. You see his parents are on a vacation right now and won’t be back in a few days. We tried to explain to him we couldn’t get it now but when his parents got back form their trip we could take him to the pet store. His mood went from complete and utter happiness to disappointment and impatient. “We have to get it now!” he said, “I won’t give up! I want you to call all the pet stores and find one thats open!” We tried telling him that all the stores were closed and he could only get one on Sunday, “oh then I am going to give up” he says. We explained to him it is okay to wait a little bit, its better to be a little patient than no getting one at all! Then he agreed to wait for his hamster.

This got me thinking, how many times have I been like my little cousin when I wanted something from God. He says He will not withhold no good thing for those who love Him but it never says “when”. God’s timing is perfect timing but sometimes I don’t see that. “I want it now! I want it now God!” I will say. I become tired of being patient and waiting, sometimes while waiting trials occur that tests my faith. I may deal with a lot of anxiety and fear but I fight against it in the name of Jesus, cause my God is bigger than any fear in my life! I may try to compare my situation to someone elses and become envious but I must remember that God has set me right where I need to be and I need to trust Him and be thankful for what He has given me.

But imagine if I gave up, what a shame! I would miss out on all the great things He has for my life, His plan and visions are better than anything I could ever imagine. No matter what you are going through, don’t give up! Even though God’s timing isn’t the way we think it should be just surrender your situation at the foot of the cross and hold onto His word. His timing is perfect and so is His love for us, He knows whats best for us even though it may not seem like it at the moment, hold on! A breakthrough is coming our way! We just have to keep pressing in.

Another gif of Audrey cause she is gorgeous, your welcome :)
