Today in Bio we learned about the pancreas. The pancreas secretes hormones, hormones that are very vital to your health. Hormones are released by the cells in your body, they send out messages to the rest of the body. Looking at its size it is easy to judge its not too significant, but fact of the matter it can alter your lifestyle significantly, or take it away. I will end at this note and not bore you with all the details, your welcome:)
This made me think about the body of Christ. You may not feel significant compared to the pastor or worship leader, but you are. You can influenece the people around you the pastor and worship leader don't have accesst to. The devil doesn't want you to understand your significance and wants you to feel worthless and depressed so that you are mopping so much you miss the people around you who need Christ. You may be the “pancreas” and not the “heart”, but the truth is the heart needs the pancreas to function. Don’t underestimate your purpose in this life cause it is very significant, I don’t care who you are, you are loved and have worth through His eyes.
